Flamenco Show in Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month

Explore the cultural exchange between Spain and Latin America through the language of flamenco. La Candela Flamenco takes you on a musical journey from Spain to the New World and back, allowing you to discover the rich musical and dance history of flamenco in connection with the music of Latin America. La Candela Flamenco’s mission is to bring people of diverse backgrounds together, inspiring them through traditional and reimagined flamenco performances. World-class flamenco dancer and entertainer Ania La Candela’s work unites musicians from various cultural backgrounds, allowing them to interpret flamenco through their own cultural lenses and experiences.

Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15-October 15 to recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans history, culture, and achievements in the United States. “The day of September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September18, respectively,” as mentioned on www.hispanicheritagemonth.gov/.
