OSCAR DE MANUEL, FLAUTAOR
Flamenco flutist (flautaor) and composer Oscar de Manuel was named Best Flamenco Instrumentalist at the prestigious Festival del Cante de las Minas, one of flamenco’s most renowned international competitions. He is also the founder of OFF Valencia, the first flamenco orchestra ever created.
Oscar received multiple honors for his work, including the Global Music Award (2021/2022) in Los Angeles for Con Cierto Duende, and First Prize in the AFE National Composition Competition for his solo flute piece Cantes de Levante, Minera. His contributions to flamenco studies include five published books for melodic instruments, recognized with an international publication award from the SGAE Foundation.
A Miyazawa Artist (Japan), Oscar has been recognized not only for his artistic excellence but also for his educational and social impact, including being named an Honorary Guest of Quito, Ecuador.
