Summer '26 Library Flamenco Program

La Candela Flamenco presents: Flamenco Dance Stories and Treasures Unearthed by Ania "La Candela"

Flamenco dance is introduced as a powerful way to give voice to stories of the past, much like the stories uncovered through archaeology. Each dance piece becomes a “story unearthed,” brought to life through percussive footwork and expressive, flowing movement. As the performance unfolds, various flamenco props—such as the shawl, fan, or castanets—are drawn from a treasure chest, each one revealing a unique aspect of flamenco’s beauty and emotional depth. The performance is woven together with storytelling and moments of audience interaction, inviting everyone to take part in the journey of discovery. More details coming soon!
